One of the users of the Weibo website has shared a photo that purports to show the screen of the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro. We can see on it the actual size and location of the new screen notches that are supposed to replace the Notch.
iPhone 14 – actual screen notch size
Already a year ago we wrote about the fact that the iPhone 14, at least in the “pro” version, will disappear the characteristic notch in the screen – the notch.
Initially, it was said that it will be replaced by one small round cutout – punch hole. At the beginning of this year, reports began to appear saying that the new notch in the “high-end” iPhones from line 14, however, will have an elongated shape.
Literally a week later, we learned that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will most likely feature both a small oblong cutout and a small punch hole next to it.
This is supposed to be the feature that sets the new iPhone Pro apart from other smartphones. Since then, a number of visuals have emerged showing what the iPhone will look like with these Face ID notches.
Now, a photo showing the iPhone 14 display with a layer of glass has leaked online, in which we can see the actual layout and size of the cutouts in the screen of this year’s iPhone 14 Pro.
Importantly, the veracity of this photo, and in fact the screen notches shown in it, has been confirmed by well-known leaker John Prosser. In a new video on his YouTube channel, he said that the veracity of this photo was confirmed to him by other independent sources.
Prosser also superimposed the actual screen notches of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max onto the earlier renders. As we can see, the actual holes are much larger than what we’ve seen in various visualizations over the past few months.
Let me remind you that according to most reports, the elongated and circular screen cutouts will only be found on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The cheaper iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are still expected to feature the notch.
The release of all four iPhone 14 models is expected in September.
