A digital certificate in data science and AI at Isen Toulon

At the start of the academic year in October 2022, a digital certificate in data science, AI, cloud and big data will be offered to some 20 Kedge students on the Isen Toulon campus. Candidates will be selected after passing a test in computer science and mathematics and a motivation interview.

Even though there are too few of them to meet the growing demand for big data and AI projects, training in data analysis is developing in France. Alongside traditional courses, two higher education institutions, Isen Yncréa Méditerranée and Kedge business school, are playing the game with a short, certifying data training course. Starting in the 2022-2023 academic year, students in the business engineering program at the business school will be able to acquire the essential concepts and understanding of the technologies used to analyze and exploit large volumes of data.  Through this course delivered on the Isen Toulon campus, they will be able to learn about artificial intelligence, big data and data management, as well as the development of applications on the cloud.

This training program focused on data science will be open to about twenty students on the Kedge Toulon campus at the start of the academic year in October 2022. Admission requirements? Passing a test in computer science and mathematics, followed by an interview to validate the candidates’ motivation. The program is spread over 180 hours, divided into the following three teaching units: data science/artificial intelligence, cloud/big data, and database and network programming. The program includes three external certifications that are recognized on the job market. One of them is issued by AWS (Amazon Solutions Architect) and focuses on mastering the cloud, while the other two are stamped by IBM and focus on data science and AI. At the same time, the two institutions will create a “double MSc Business Engineering” degree, which will be operational from the start of the 2022-2023 academic year.

Two complementary schools in IT and management

Since 1991, Isen Méditerranée has been training engineers in the fields of digital technology. It boasts an employment rate of 98% three months after graduation, with a strong network of 2,000 graduate engineers. Kedge Business School has four campuses in France (Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille and Toulon), four abroad (two in China, in Shanghai and Suzhou, and two in Africa, in Dakar and Abidjan) and three associated campuses (Avignon, Bastia and Bayonne). Its community is made up of 14,800 students (23% of whom are abroad), 172 permanent professors (45% of whom are international), 201 academic partners and 70,000 graduates worldwide.
